Hi and welcome to the Raw Files! My name is Marta and I’m an amateur food photographer. I’ve been doing food photography in my small home studio for a couple of years now. Somehow I feel I still have lots to experience before I can call myself a true professional.
Every time I learn something new, I learn there’s something new to learn. It just never ends. The learning curve is very steep and I learn the most from my own mistakes. The struggle is real.
I had the idea that it would be interesting to document my progress and share it with others who are learning food photography.
This blog will be my outlet to talk about the process of learning food photography and my personal experience on the road to becoming a food photographer.
The Raw Files
When you look at awesome food or drink photos do you ever wonder: How do they do it? I do, all the time! And then I try, and I fail, and I wonder why, and I try again and again, and again. When I finally succeed there comes the big “Wish I Knew That Before“. Now, that I know this and that, or a little bit of everything, I’d be happy to share it with you. I will be doing reshoots of my old photos and behind-the-scenes of my recent shoots. Further, I will be sharing tips & tricks for food styling and editing. And of course, I will be talking about the dos and don’ts of food photography and many more.
On this blog, I will be writing about the aches and pains of learning food photography, and I will be honest, like the RAW files. I hope you will join me on this bumpy road to happiness.
